About
Welcome to the Washington County Cemetery Preservation Group, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit organization located in the heart of the Ozarks. WCCPG's purpose is to identify, document and promote the preservation of cemeteries and burial sites, marked and unmarked, located in Washington County, Arkansas; to educate about Arkansas cemetery and burial site laws and preservation guideline; to conduct any activite related to the above purposed in a lawful and ethical manner.
Current Projects
WCCPG is a 501c3 not for profit organization. Our projects are funded entirely by donations. We are presently working on surveying and assessing all of the cemeteries and burial sites in Washington County. We also are attending various workshops dedicated to learning about cleaning stones and doing simple repairs and we encourage all interested persons to join us. We currently have clean-up projects at Skelton Cemetery, Combs Cemetery, and Mount Zion Cemetery. If you would like to help out, call or send us an email.
Membership
Would you like to become one of us? Membership in the Washington County Cemetery Preservation Group is open to anyone interested in preserving cemeteries. Annual membership includes our newsletter and workshops. There are three membership classifications to choose from: Marble $10, Granite $25, and Fieldstone $50. Fill out the membership application today.
